S., this filter carries a 1 micron cyst rating (effective against cryptosporidium and giardia). Also removes chlorine, chemicals, sediment, bad taste & odours. Recommended water cartridge life is 12 months, depending on water quality. Heavily sedimented or affected water will see the life of the filter reduced. Maximum pressure is 125 psi.
