Halda typewriters are made in Sweden and not many manufactured of this beautiful typewriter. Although many believe that Ernest Hemingway used Royal typewriters, it is well known that he loved typing on Halda portable that looks a lot like the Royal Quiet Deluxe typewriter. His last book was typed on a Halda typewriter as well.

I like the clean lines and simple shape and the unobtrusive stitching. I'm not crazy about the seam of where the sides of the tray meet, but if the tray is filled, it's not as noticeable. It's a nice catch-all to keep my desk clutter-free!
