Antoine Jobard, Pinot Noir, Pommard Epenots Premier Cru, Côte de Beaune, Burgundy, France 2019From the famed Pommard vineyard, this is the darkest, deepest, and most structured of the Jobard lineup. Grapes are 100% destemmed. Cold soak for five days, then fermentation during 10 days. Aged for 12 months in barrel, only 20% of which are new. Vines were planted in 1982, 1986. Clay and limestone soil. Antoine Jobard's is as classy and as consistent a property as youll find in Burgundy, and theirs are generally counted among the best Meursaults.
